A social campaign about fighting climate change and the big difference you can make from the comfort of your sofa.
Directing Ecosia’s first ever animated campaign with a completely open brief was an absolute dream project. From research, concept development and script writing to VO recordings, 3D modelling and of course animation.
With the aim to introduce the browser to a new generation of users, Gen Z and climate anxiety quickly became the focus point of the campaign. Creating easily digestible and modular social content that in an instant could visualise the impact of using Ecosia.
After the organisation’s recent rebrand by Koto it was also a very exciting opportunity to expand on the visual identity. Ecosia was keen on the campaign feeling unique and visually different from the established style guides which opened up for exciting explorations.

With playful use of mixed media and strongly silhouetted characters we created a bold and wonky world sprouting with clever and cheeky shrubbery. Still maintaining an essence of the original brand by using the brand palette and drawing inspiration from the original asymmetrical graphic style.
Through a series of vignettes we crafted a captivating and relatable social campaign, showing just how easy it is to help the climate with Ecosia, whether that is from your warm, cozy sofa or the sanctity of a public restroom.
